Umphrey's McGee is once again returning to the historic Aragon Ballroom to celebrate our 10th New Year's Eve in Chicago. It was an honor to share these two evenings with our fans and we look forward to sharing two more this year. As a thanks for your continued support of Umphrey's McGee we want to share our first two Aragon shows with everyone.

Today we've uploaded 12/30/05 to the Live Music Archive, a show well known to many fans for the explosive first set highlighted by the Dump City > Hajimemashite > Dump City and the triumphant jam out of Women Wine and Song. Stay tuned for the New Year's Eve show...

We hope to see everyone out at the Aragon Ballroom this year

Subject: Beautiful Jam
It's no lie when you see "triumphant jam" or "spirited jam" out of WW&S, it really is amazing. Keller adds a great extra energy to the group.

Come on and come to me now
Don't be ashamed to cry
Let me see you through
'cause I've seen the dark side too
When the night falls on you
You don't know what to do
Nothing you confess
Could make me love you less

I'll stand by you
I'll stand by you

Thanks a ton for this high-quality SBD recording of the band's first-ever performance at the Aragon Ballroom. My first visit to this storied venue would be the following night, but I'll forever remember this show from the spirited jam out of WW&S and Keller's sit-ins, including the first-time-played Fame (they killed it!).

Subject: Unreal Show
I can remember how excited I was leading up to this show with Keller Williams as the opener. I convinced a few friends of mine to join so we "took the train cause you know I am going to drink anyway". Great show definitely top 3 out of my almost 15 UM shows now. Appreciate UM for putting this out for free helps me reminisce a great time that started with hoping off the L and ended with sick jams.

only a band like Umphrey's would take some of their best shows (12/30/05, the best maybe??) and upload the SBD's to the archive. this band loves their fans, and they show it on a regular basis.

two thumbs up umph :)
